Though I would have preferred to
wait and dazzle you with a finished product, reality set in and it is more
reasonable to share what there is as I continue the research. It is as
gratifying for me to receive e-mail with additions and corrections as it is to
receive e-mails from folks saying thanks for helping them make their family
connections.

Having done a fair
amount of sifting through court houses, historical societies, census reports,
cemetery records, death indices and all things vital, I can only say SOME of the
information in my family tree may be proved and correct. But when all is said
and done, it is after all, merely some interesting research notes for my own use
and is offered here only to help steer others in some interesting directions for
their own research.
Some of it comes
from Ruth Nellene Smith's research. Some of it comes from other's compiled
works. Some comes from family tradition. Some comes from pre-computer research
by a few other family members. I have pored over piles of handwritten
information for many months and have years more work to do. I hope something
here may be of help to others. If you find an error, please let me know so I can
correct it.
